Our goal is to make taking a business portrait easy, fast, and fun. Your business portrait session will start with a brief consultation with your photographer to determine what you are looking for with your business portrait. Your photographer will then help direct you through your 15 minute photo shoot to capture the right image for you. After your session, you will be able to look through all your images to choose your favorites for retouching.

It is all about you. Keep it simple. Solid colors look great in headshots. Mid-tone colors in blue, green, wine and purple are universally flattering. Avoid wearing flesh tones (cream, beige, peach, etc.) as they will blend into your face.Substitute black with richer neutrals like chocolate, navy, maroon, and forest green. Ladies, opt for a blouse with sleeves. A modest v-neck is universally flattering because it lengthens the neck.

Our photo shoots come with 2 looks. So you are welcome to try a more businessy look as well as a more casual look. If in doubt, bring a few more options and your photographer will help you decide.

Make sure that ALL clothes are pressed before the shoot.

The Essential package comes with 2 outfit changes. The Premier & Essential packages include more changes. If you are unsure as to which two would be the best options, bring more along with you to your shoot. The photographer will be more than happy to help you choose the best.

Makeup and hair should be applied in a light fashion for a more natural look, at least to start. As the photo shoot goes on, you can add more dramatic eye and lip makeup if you wish. Please avoid any glitter or glossy products, as this will create shines on your face and skin.

We want your business portrait to be the best representation of you. That being said, we encourage you to come as as you typically would for an average day, or perhaps a nice dinner out. Choose light to medium eyeliners, eye shadows and lipsticks that are only a shade or two darker than your natural tones. This is a more subtle.

Do not cut or dye your hair right before a shoot. Freshly colored hair can look too vibrant and unnatural on camera, drawing attention away from your face. A new haircut also looks its best after a week or so.

Men, if you have a beard, trim it evenly so it’s nicely groomed. If you’re going clean-shaven, get a good shave in the morning of your shoot.

Come hair and makeup ready. We also recommend you bring a brush, comb, etc for touching up during the shoot. We can provide you a hair and/or makeup artist to meet you at our studio before your shoot if you choose.

Keep it to a minimum. One statement necklace may be nice. However, try to keep the jewelry to a minimum as they tend to be distracting from you, and that is what a business portrait is all about. If you are in doubt, just bring them along. The worst thing that could happen is not to use them.

Either with our help immediately following your session or in the comfort of your home. As your photos are being taken, they immediately appear on a tv in our viewing room. Once we finish your photoshoot, your photographer will sit with you and help you go through your images and decide which are your favorites that you would like us to edit.

Within 24 hours of your shoot! The edited, high resolution images you selected will be emailed to you within 24 hours of your photo shoot.

We do not provide onsite hair and makeup services. You are welcome to do any last-minute touch-ups in our studio. If you decide to make arrangements with a salon beforehand please make sure to allow enough time to arrive at our studio 15 mins early, ready to shoot.

Yes! Your selected images will be retouched. Retouching includes smoothing the skin, lightening under the eyes, whitening the teeth, fixing any flyaway hairs, and other minor edits.
